Welcome to my new site! This is a continuation of Jason Washkevich's Caringbridge site, which followed our family's 15 month journey with brain cancer. My husband and best friend of 22 years lost his battle with brain cancer on March 22, 2014. Now it's just myself (Cory), and my daughter Katerina. A new partnership - CoRina.
After Jason was diagnosed in January of 2013, I started a site on caringbridge.org as a way to keep everyone informed of his health. I made regular journal entries (Jason wrote some too) and after a while I realized how therapeutic it was...so I kept writing...and many people kept reading. Over the 15 months I wrote a majority of the 160 journal entries on the site...and we received so much support - over 1000 uplifting and encouraging guestbook entries. Journaling became my savior, my coping mechanism. But now that Jason is gone, I feel that caringbridge is no longer an appropriate place to continue writing. So I'm starting this website - a place to continue to journal. Thank you for reading.
